dc.description.abstractThe objective of this research is to offer a panorama founded in how moral practices are developed and how norms of netiquette are applied in communities of secondary school students in their virtual interactions. The methodology is qualitative with a sociohistoric perspective. The instruments used were surveys, questionnaires, field diaries and group interview, which were implemented with a group of 34 secondary school students in Apodaca, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. The results demonstrated that these students considered that morality and closeness to one's family are positive ideals that can be achieved, but they exhibit free behavior in virtual interactions. Additionally, they made it clear that they are emotional beings who hope to find their moral identity through the education received in their homes, despite the existence of an emotional clash with their social context, which distorts their perception and the way they should behave in their daily lives.
